After completing formal training of General surgery in India, he joined Royal Melbourne Hospital, and affiliated centres in Victoria, as general surgical registrar for four years gaining significant exposure in general, trauma, colorectal, hepatobiliary, transplant, vascular, and endoscopic surgery.
In Thailand, he completed a hands-on fellowship in ERCP at the WGO Centre, Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, performing more than 150 procedures. He further honed his expertise in bariatric surgery in Taiwan under Dr. C.K. Huang, participating in more than 100 operations.
As a Senior Consultant Surgeon in Kenya (2022–2024), he led complex general and laparoscopic surgical services and contributed to workforce development and training. This diverse international experience has enriched his clinical acumen, cultural adaptability, and leadership in multidisciplinary settings.
